KUET authority appointed Dr. M. A. H. Akhand as the Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering for the next two years, effective from January 01, 2018.

JSPS Fellowship in Japan
Dr. M. A. H. Akhand, Head of CIRG, served as a JSPS Fellow & Visiting Professor at University of Fukui, Japan. During his fellowship, he visited laboratories across University of Fukui, Toyama Prefectural University, Tokyo Metropolitan University, Saitama University, and Tohoku University to foster academic collaboration.
Dr. M. A. H. Akhand joined the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Image, Graphics and Signal Processing (IJIGSP), MECS Press, Hong Kong.
Paper published in IAENG International Journal of Computer Science (IJCS), originating from an M.Sc. thesis supervised by Dr. Akhand.
